MSA Licensed Rescue Unit

Our licensed Rescue Ambulance unit has been specially built for its purpose. Although it is licensed as an Ambulance and
carries Paramedic Bags, Spinal boards, Trauma fluids and medical gasses it also carries Rescue equipment as used by the
Fire and Rescue Service and is designed primarily for its role as an Automotive Rescue Vehicle. We carry 9 differing types
of Fire Extinguishers for many types of fire fighting applications. It also carries Hydraulic Rescue Cutting Jaws and Rams
to aid a casualty extrication along with modern Fire Service Rescue equipment.

All Medic vehicles are equipped with Cardiac AED Defibrillators and crew are competent in their use.

Rescue Ambulance Unit (MSA Licensed)

used by the Fire and Rescue Service and is designed primarily for its role as an
Automotive Rescue Vehicle. It is fitted out with hydraulic Rescue Jaws and
Dedicated cutters, and essential piece of kit with modern car construction and roll
cages. We carry 7 differing types of Fire Extinguishers for many types of fire
fighting applications. It also carries Hydraulic Rescue Cutting Jaws and Rams to
aid a casualty extrication along with modern Fire Service Rescue equipment.

To assist Event Organisers in the smooth running of a safe day also carry extra equipment to help in the safety elements such as refuelling area equipment, Safety PPE, Cones and additional scene lighting.
One of the initial procedures we would carry out in event of an incident is to request additional Fire/Rescue and Ambulance crews with a view toward maybe Air Ambulance (HEMS) assistance. This is an ideal scenario and from our professional experience it may be operationally possible to have these resources available within the time constraints we would be working under. Due to this risk vehicles are taxed and insured to transport any casualties to a pre arranged RV point or Hospital under emergency blue light conditions. All Drivers have the necessary emergency driving qualifications with 2 yearly reassessments as stated by the DSA. Proof of these competencies are available and stored in the vehicles.

4x4 Fire/Rescue Response Unit (MSA Licensed SSU)

Our 4x4 Fire/Rescue Response Unit is a smaller version of the Rescue Unit. It Carries a large selection of Rescue and Medical Equipment to provide an initial stabilisation of an emergency scene and has the advantage of having a 50 litre AFFF fire fighting foam unit and Breathing Apparatus it is perfectly suited to its’ role providing immediate support. This 3 seater highly mobile unit also carries a complete set of Fire and Rescue service hydraulic cutting jaws and rams should they be required and is also fully licensed and insured for blue light driving.

Spinal immobilisation kit, medical gasses and Paramedic bags are also stored on board this blue light licensed vehicle.

Fire trailer Unit

Carrying a 500 litre tank and both low and high pressure pumps as well as an on board foam supply our trailer unit is an ideal compromise for fire cover until the arrival of a local fire appliance. Towed by any of our vehicles it can easily cope with a car fire and is a cost effective solution whilst also benefiting from use in confined spaces where larger vehicles simply can’t get to. We have used this extensively at events across the UK as an addition for the event fire cover, it can also be backfilled from a hydrant supply.

Medical Response Unit

A licensed Stage Safety Unit through the MSA (Southdowns Response), our Medical Response Unit is kitted out with basic firefighting and Rescue media, as well as Paramedic grab bags, spinal immobilisation kit and medical gasses. We have used this vehicle extensivly for covering many events across the UK from simple "Event first aid" to being used as a Response unit for higher risk cover when getting to an incident quickly is an advantage.

Unmarked 4x4s

For Safety and Risk Co ordination we have a selection of unmarked 4x4s that carry a selection of Safety media such as cones, environmental agency Spill kits, Signage, Health and Safety Documentation, incident packs and additional resources as well as initial Trauma Care and Rescue Equipment to deal with an incident.

We have learnt over time, especially in the TV industry, that the visual presence of the Rescue Ambulance on set can be a distraction so we often use 4x4s as a covert solution. The hydraulic cutting gear from the Rescue vehicles can be mounted in the rear of a 4x4 should the Risk Assessments require it along with various fire fighting media.

Fire Appliances

Although a large selection of Fire fighting equipment is carried on all vehicles and we have the extensive knowledge of dealing with car fires we also have dedicated Fire cover vehicles available as well as airfield compliant Crash tenders.

All are crewed by qualified and experienced Fire fighters who are in date with their competencies and have a very safe attitude toward the risks of the job involved. By using off duty Crew from the UK Fire and Rescue Service you are covered to the high training standards set out by the HSE and the Home Office.
